Scholarship Funds for Middle School Summer Programs Available 

Carlessia Hussein Minority Scholarship - Up to $20,000 - Applications are due March 8, 2019:

  • Up to $20,000 is available, or approximately $350 per week of camp per applicant, to African American, Latino, or Native American males who are enrolled in a Howard County public middle school to assist with the costs of tuition and related expenses associated with participating in “qualified programs.” The goal of the camps is to provide opportunities to gain knowledge, skills, and unique experiences that will enable students to successfully finish school and become leaders in their community.
  • Students who have previously received this scholarship, and continue to meet eligibility criteria outlined in the guidelines, are encouraged to apply again.
