HCPSS Seeks Stakeholder Feedback on 2020-2021 School Year

As the 2019-2020 school year comes to a close, HCPSS staff continue to prepare for the 2020-2021 school year while navigating continuing unknowns of what school will look like in the fall.

“Our primary consideration for fall planning continues to be the health and safety of our students and staff, and equity is a critical priority as we seek to serve the needs of all students, including those who are most vulnerable,” said HCPSS Superintendent Michael Martirano. “While many decisions will largely depend on guidance from the state and health authorities, all plans will be developed keeping in mind the needs and priorities voiced by our students, staff and families.”

Students, staff, families and community stakeholders are encouraged to provide input and feedback to help guide the solutions for the 2020-2021 school year through online surveys.

Surveys, targeted to each group, are open through noon on Wednesday, July 1, and can be accessed through the following links:

Students 

·         Grades 3-5 

·         Grades 6-12

Parents/guardians

·         English

·         Chinese, 中文

·         Korean, 한국어

·         Spanish, Español

Staff 

·         Instructional staff

·         Student services staff

·         Paraeducators, clerical, custodial and other school support staff

·         Central Office staff from all divisions have representation on the Recovery Team and will have opportunities to provide input to the HCPSS Recovery of Learning Team through their division Chief.

Additional feedback may be provided by emailing fall-input@hcpss.org. Due to the volume of emails, not every email will receive a response, however, responses will be shared with staff and stakeholders working on 2020-2021 school year planning.
