Due to the fact that we have missed 4 B days, and had an additional shortened B day for unscheduled early dismissal as of February 7, 2018, and in preparation for all possible inclement weather make-up days, we have made some adjustments and updates to the A day/B day calendar for the remainder of this school year.

Now that we have had a fourth inclement weather related closing, I want to give you an update on the school calendar for the remainder of this year.

Sixth Grade Parent Orientation and GT Information presentation

Effective the first day of school for the school year 2018-2019, 1 dose of Tdap vaccine and 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) is required by the state of Maryland for all students entering Grade 7

PTSA Chick-fil-A Fundraiser Night and Coat Drive

Testing is schedule for the winter administration.

Winter apparel and lunch boxes are overflowing in lost and found. If your child is missing items, please remind them to check lost and found in the cafeteria. Items will be donated on Friday, February 16th.

Please join us for our Middle School Parent Orientation. The orientation will provide an overview on the Middle School Program of Studies, our Gifted and Talented Program, and our World Language Program.

Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) programs are offered at Atholton (Army), Howard (Army), and Oakland Mills (Air Force) high schools. A student who wishes to participate in JROTC, but does not attend one of the schools that offers JROTC, may apply for participation.

The Howard County Public School System invites parents and students to attend an information session to learn more about JumpStart, the expanded early college and dual-enrollment program.
